Join the Gorilla collective for a day and create illustrations for social debate
Activate social debate by creating graphic designs which comment on one or more news items. Participants will make several sketches, which after debate, will be worked out as a ‘Gorilla’. The Gorilla collective is normally made up of five Dutch designers who comment on news stories through simple yet striking illustrations. Bringing a laptop to this session is useful, but not essential.
Find out what it takes to design compelling illustrations for social debate. The results of the breakout session will be exhibited during the What Design Can Do conference and a selection will be published on the website of The Daily Gorilla.
THIS Breakout session WILL TAKE PLACE ON MAY 8
You can register for all breakout sessions during the event in Frontón México from 08:00 – 09:30, from 11:30 – 12:00 and from 13:30 – 14:00. Please note, spaces for this specific breakout session are limited. If you would like to join, make sure you register on time. First come, first serve.
