Jan Heinvirta

Jan is the co-founder and CEO of the startup Perfekto, based in Mexico City. Backed by Y Combinator, Perfekto reduces food waste in Mexico by offering a subscription box of imperfect products delivered to your home.

Jan is Swiss and experienced the problem of food waste first-hand while working in restaurants during his studies in International Management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). After his exchange year in Mexico City, he dropped out of university to expand Swiss FinTech Sonect to Mexico, helping them scale to pre-Serie B as well as elevate their Serie A and obtain the Mexican FinTech license.
