• Clause1. | General

    1.1) The General Terms and Conditions of ‘What Design Can Do’ apply to all offers, products, orders, agreements and deliveries. By ordering a book or ticket, you agree to these conditions.

    1.2) Unless the user opts in for the newsletter with the checkbox during checkout, What Design Can Do will not add them to any mailing list. However, we may contact the ticket holder only regarding ticketing processes with, for example, order confirmations, ticket PDFs and invitations to register for workshops.


    2.1) The agreement becomes binding at the time you place your order in the online order form. The order will be processed after you have paid. Until that time ‘What Design Can Do’ will remain full owner of ordered goods.

    2.2) To confirm your order you will receive an email to the email address that you provided. If you accidentally do not receive an e-mail, your order is still operative.

    2.3) We do our best to make sure that all of the content on our site is correct. However, we reserve the right that unintentional errors may occur. Images on the website can always be slightly different from reality.

    2.4) In terms of payment, we accept IDEAL (only in the Netherlands) and PayPal. All prices are displayed in EURO ex. VAT and ex. shipping.

    2.5) ‘What Design Can Do’ has the right to change texts and images on the website, without giving notice first.

    2.6) We deliver in- and outside of the Netherlands. Please check if your country is on the list. If not, please send an email to info@whatdesigncando.com so we can see what we can do for you.


    3.1)  Shipping costs:
    Netherlands | €3,80
    Europe | €13


    4.1) We will ship your order as fast as we can, normally within 3 workdays of placing your order. You will receive a conformation that the package is on his way. Normally you will receive your order within 3–7 workdays in Europe. We cannot guarantee this for the full 100% because we are depending on other parties. Claims for late deliveries are not accepted. For international delivery times, please see the website of our transporter PostNL.

    4.2) If you accidentally entered an incorrect delivery address – and therefore we are faced with extra costs – we calculate these additional costs on to you.

    4.3) Up to and including the delivery ‘What Design Can Do’ bears the responsibility for the order. After the delivery, the responsibility will be transferred to you.

    4.4) We send packages through a reputable parcel company.  (PostNL)

    4.5) The products are packed in a box, case or envelope. When a delivery is missing or damaged we ask you to contact us by e-mail: info@whatdesigncando.com


    5.1) We advise you to check your article within 14 days. If something is not good or you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it within 14 days. You can do so by contacting us by e-mail: info@whatdesigncando.com


    6.1) If you wish to return or exchange an article you can do this within 14 days. Send an email to info@whatdesigncando.com where you notify that you wish to return an article.

    6.2) If you wish to return an article please notify us within 14 days after receipt by sending an email to info@whatdesigncando.com. To make the process go as quick as possible record the following information on to the contact form:

    • that you wish to return an article
    • product description
    • Order number
    • First and last name
    • the reason for returning the item

    The refund, minus the shipping costs, will take place within thirty days after receipt and inspection.


    7.1) We advise you to check all articles within 14 days. Check the delivered quantity and quality of the article. If there is something not correct you can return the article within 14 days to ‘What Design Can Do’.

    7.2) After the approval period of 14 days – Clause 5.1 – we are not obliged to repair or exchange the article free of charge. Check clausule 6. to see the conditions for returning an article.

    7.3) The warranty is void if the product shows a defect which is caused by improper use, if you or others have made or attempted to make changes to the product or used it in a way for which the article is not intended.


    8.1) It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.

    8.2) WDCD accepts no liability if a delegate is unable to attend an event due to adverse weather conditions or any travel disruption.

    8.3) WDCD reserves the right to film, record or photograph any of the speakers at an event for post event purposes. Delegates are advised that this may result in incidental inclusion of delegates within any recording or photographs.


    Booking confirmation will be sent to you immediately for all on-line bookings. If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours of making the on-line booking, please contact the team at info@whatdesigncando.com.

    9.3 ) Payment must be made at the time of booking unless specifically stated.

    9.4) If you cannot attend an event, you can transfer your place to another individual. Places can be transferred at any time up to and including the day of the event. Please note an additional charge may be applicable if the new attendee is not entitled to the same rate.

    9.5) If WDCD has to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund the following;

    • any travel or hotel costs associated with the cancellation of an event
    • any fees relating to the joining of a Faculty or Community with respect to the event booking
