Biologist artist, researcher, and teacher, a pioneer in the field of bio-art in Mexico, specializing in biological materials and biomaterials with applications to design, art and science. For more than fifteen years her work has been developed from biological processes, interweaving knowledge against material research where culture, political ecology, material development, and sociobiological factors converge, focusing his research on local axes, which respond to global problems.

She has collaborated with universities, research institutes, museums, and material experimentation spaces in Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Central America, Canada, and England. She is the founder and creative director of BiologyStudio, the first Mexican studio to link art, design, and biology, where she is currently developing a cochineal-based biopolymeric textile and a focus on biological economies.
