Bob Hendrikx, a Dutch designer and recent winner of our No Waste Challenge, asks us to consider this unique question: Are we waste, or are we compost?

Speaking virtually, Bob explains how even after we die we can allow new life to thrive simply by our choice of coffin. Bob presents his design, Loop, the world’s first fully biodegradable casket made out of mycelium fungi. Mycelium is nature’s greatest recycler, transforming dead organic matter and turning it into key plant food, in a wonderful closed-loop system.
