Thami Schweichler – circular design – NL
Thami Schweichler (39) is a social designer, entrepreneur, and impact leader based in Amsterdam. He is the founder of United Repair Centre, a B2B clothing repair service for global brands that creates jobs for people facing labour market barriers. Previously, Thami has co-founded Makers Unite, a social enterprise promoting refugee inclusion through creative collaboration and sustainable design – an approach that won the What Design Can Do Refugee Challenge in 2016. His work bridges circularity, entrepreneurship, and inclusion to drive systemic change in the clothing industry.
Thami is a speaker during The Celebration, the evening programme of the WDCD Festival on 6 June at Pakhuis de Zwijger. You can attend this public event with a festival passe-partout or by reserving a separate evening ticket (pay-as-you-like option).
