  • Event

    WHEN IS WDCD AMSTERDAM LIVE 2018?

    WDCD Amsterdam Live 2018 takes place this year from the 24th to the 25th of May 2018. The event starts at:
    Thursday: 09:30 – 18:00
    Friday: 09:30 – 18:00

    We advise you to be present at 9:00.

    I WANT TO VOLUNTEER FOR THIS EVENT. WHERE CAN I SIGN UP?

    We are always looking for volunteers and would be happy to have you on the team. If you are interested to help us out, sent a short motivation why you want to help to: volunteers@whatdesigncando.com. Mention the days you are available, your age, mobile phone number, residence and any diet restrictions we need to know about.

    DO YOU OFFER A PRESS PASS FOR THIS EVENT?

    HOW ABOUT LUNCH & DRINKS?

    Lunch vouchers can be redeemed in the Stadsschouwburg at the Koninklijke Foyer (2nd floor, 1st balcony) and the Pleinfoyer (1st floor) from 13.00 – 14.00. Exchange your drink tokens for coffee, tea, draft beer, soda and house wine.
    Please note: If you have a Student or Changemakers Pass lunch vouchers and drink tokens are not included.

  • Programme

    HOW DO I REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS?

    You can register for all workshops during the event in the Stadsschouwburg at the Koninklijke Foyer (2nd floor, 1st balcony) from 08:45 – 09:30, from 11:00 – 11:30 and from 13:00 – 14:00.

    WILL THE SPEAKERS BE LIVE STREAMED?

    Yes, a selection of the main stage talks will be live streaming on Facebook during the event. Follow our social media channels via #WDCD2018 to stay tuned.

  • Tickets

    Do you offer a student discount?

    We have special student tickets available (exc. lunch & coins). Please check our shop for more information. Don’t forget to bring your student card, you will be asked to show proof of registration at the registration desk.

    CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?

    It is best to purchase your tickets prior to the event to guarantee availability. However, if there are any unsold tickets to the event, these will be available at the Schouwburg counter. Please note, we do accept card payments at the door, but don’t accept creditcard & cash payments.

    CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET TO ANOTHER PERSON?

    Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person until 22 May. Please let us know via tickets@whatdesigncando.com.

    I BOUGHT A TICKET BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO ATTEND. IS THERE A POSSIBILITY TO REFUND MY PURCHASE?

    We don’t give refunds on tickets. Please note, your ticket is transferable to another person.

    I BOUGHT A TICKET. WHERE DO I REGISTER TO ACCESS TO THE EVENT?

    You can register at the front desk of the Stadsschouwburg to collect your wristband.

  • Venue

    How to get there?

    CAR

    Please be aware that the inner city of Amsterdam is not particularly car-friendly. Parking spaces in the city centre are scarce and expensive. For those travelling by car, the nearby Q-Parkmultistorey car park at Marnixstraat 50 is the most convenient location to park. Other parking locations nearby are: Byzantium


    PUBLIC TRANSPORT

    There are several tram and bus stops on and around Leidseplein. To get to the Schouwburg from Central Station, take trams 1, 2 or 5 to the fairly self explanatory Leidseplein stop, from other parts of the city, trams 7 and 10 are the ones to look out for. On foot, you can find the square from the city centre by following Leidsestraat, which cuts through the south-western edge of the canal ring.

    BiCyCLE

    Bicycles can be parked in the marked bicycle areas around the Stadsschouwburg. The municipality is enforcing strict policies in respect to illegally parked bicycles, illegally parked/placed bicycles will be removed. In order to prevent this please park your bicycle in areas or places which are thereto intended or use the free guarded bicycle storage/parking facilities next to Paradiso (open 24/7), the bicycle racks at the Raamplein or the bike boat in front of the Melkweg.
