The talent of architects, interior designers, printers and advertising agencies lies in transforming spaces into areas for living. To promote and encourage their creative activity, WDCD’s global partner Antalis launched the Antalis Interior Design Award, open for entries until 31 December 2017.

The contest in promotion of Antalis’ Coala paper collection for large format printing applications, invites professionals in interior decoration to enter either completed projects in the categories: hospitality, restaurant, retail, office, home, public building or 3-D projects on a white model to be decorated entirely using products from the Antalis Coala catalogue. This last category is open to submissions from students too.

Awards

Six projects in the first category (completed and ongoing projects) will enjoy media exposure in all Antalis communication sites, as well as internationally through its press partners, Intramuros and Wallpaper.

In the second category two winners will be selected who will receive 3,500 euros (1st Prize) and 2,000 euros (2nd Prize). The winners will also have the chance to execute their proposals in Antalis’ head office or one of its local offices.

A special prize of the public is given to the project that receives most votes on the Antalis Interior Design Award website. This gallery will display all entered projects throughout the competition period. A work of reference dedicated to interior design, The Book, will showcase the finest projects and include a portrait of each prize winner. The book will be distributed in key design locations, including the specialised press, museums, architectural firms, design agencies and renowned designers.

Jury

The international jury, led by the architect François Confino (Atelier Confino), consist of Karin Schmitz (business development director Germany, Switzerland, Austria at Peclers), Bénédicte Duhalde (editor in chief Intramuros magazine), Aneel Kalsi (art director Wallpaper), Jon Sherman (founder and creative director Flavor Paper), Damien Perro (international design director Accorhotels) and Agnés Lafarge (market manager visual communication Antalis).

‘Interior decoration professionals possess the talent to change spaces into pleasant environments,’ says Muriël Knippers, communications manager Benelux at Antalis. ‘With this contest we want to demonstrate that our Coala product range offers all possibilities to redecorate for instance hotels, museums or restaurants. We are very curious to see the results.’
